One of the most important services Chagrin Valley Veterinary Clinic offers is its preventative health care program. Regular vaccinations against contagious diseases and physical examinations by a knowledgeable veterinarian are strongly recommended of all cats on an annual basis. We will work to keep your pet ahead of illnesses as new information emerges, and tailor vaccinations and treatment recommendations on your cat's lifestyle and previous immunization history, as well as information suggested to us by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The examination will include a comprehensive physical, internal and external parasite treatment, immunizations, and a dietary assessment. We will also perform blood and urine tests to check for common diseases that outdoor cats are susceptible to, including leukemia and immunodeficiency virus.
Our veterinarians view these appointments as an excellent time to address any of your own questions or concerns about your pet's health. Please call us to schedule an appointment or request more information today.
On the day of the appointment, we ask that you bring in a copy of your dog's previous records, if this is your first visit with us, as well as a stool sample (ideally less than twelve hours old), and your cat in a closed carrier.
Important information regarding rabies vaccinations
Please be advised that rabies vaccinations are required by law for all dogs and cats in Ohio, including indoor pets. Rabies is present in our area, and is a disease that is transmissible to humans that can be fatal if not treated immediately. We strongly recommend that all dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies.
