One of the most important services Chagrin Valley Veterinary Clinic offers is its preventative health care program. Physical examinations by a knowledgeable veterinarian and regular vaccinations are strongly recommended of all dogs on an annual basis. We will work to keep your pet ahead of illnesses as new information emerges. We tailor vaccinations and treatment recommendations on your dog’s lifestyle and previous immunization history, as well as information recommended to us by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The examination will include a comprehensive physical, internal and external parasite treatment, immunizations, and a dietary assessment. Bloodwork and/or urinalysis may be requested. We view these appointments as an excellent time to address any of your own questions or concerns about your pet’s health. Please call us to schedule an appointment or request more information today.
On the day of the appointment, we ask that you bring in a copy of your dog’s previous records, if this is your first visit with us, as well as a stool sample (ideally less than twelve hours old), and your dog on a leash or in a carrier.
Important information regarding rabies vaccinations
Please be advised that rabies vaccinations are required by law for all dogs and cats in Ohio, including indoor pets. Rabies is present in our area, and is a disease transmissible to humans that can be fatal if not treated immediately. We strongly recommend that all dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies.
